Comparison of maternal and neonatal outcomes in twin pregnancies according to delivery types: vaginal delivery or Cesarean delivery?

Objective: Our aim was to compare the maternal and neonatal outcomes of twin pregnancies, which result in vaginal delivery (VD) Cesarean section (CS), factors affecting decision CS. Methods: Twin pregnancies between 30 39 weeks who gave birth a tertiary center were included present study. The demographic data patient groups <32 weeks, 32–37 >37 recorded compared according type birth. Results: A total 1209 patients 1- 5-minute Apgar scores 1st 2nd fetuses gestation higher CS group at statistically significant level (p=0.007, p=0.010, p=0.001, p=0.003, respectively). pregnant women age VD (p=0.039 p=0.032, newborn intensive care unit (NICU) admission rates fetus those born by when (1st p<0.001, p=0.016, respectively; p=0.012, Conclusion: It must be kept mind that have high risks. However, can considered as safe reasonable option appropriately selected cases presence experienced obstetricians being careful about complications might occur.
